Essex Jewish Community Council

The Essex Jewish Community Council joins together in a united prayer for peace in Israel and its neighbours, but freed from the threat of terrorists whose clear intent is predicated on the destruction of Israel and Jews.

Thankfully we have organisations in our local community that are there to protect us and provide support at this sad time and we also join together with those who are in mourning.

If you or your family have any concerns or need support please contact the CST for all security issues and can be reached at any time on 0800 032 3262; JAMI provides wellbeing and mental health support; PaJES for up to date information on Jewish schools; the Board of Deputies and the UJIA for general support and MDA on how you can support their work in Israel, and of course your local Synagogue.

Let us all continue to pray in unity for a peaceful outcome and resolution.

The Essex and North-East London Jewish community had its origins in the East End of London, and now growing into new areas such as Buckhurst Hill, Loughton and Epping and beyond – as well as serving communities closer to the city – and served by rapid transport links, including the new Elizabeth Line.

Essex and North-East London is becoming the place to settle and bring up families – Jewish schools, Shuls and access to the City and West End, as well as beautiful forest countryside.
